I am a Scorpio but I don't know what the rise in Venus and all that stuff is I need help?

I am a Scorpio and I need some enlightemnment on what the rise in Venus, rise in Saturn and all that crap is.

All I know is that I am a Scorpio born NOV 2, 1973 at like midnight or something like that...well it was at night. Anyway... I don't know the exact time. I have been reading all of these peoples comments on their signs and a lot of them are saying rise in Venus and Sagitarius raising and all of that and cusps...etc etc.

What the heck does all of that mean and how does that effect my compatibility with other signs. I suppose generally speaking Scorpios get along great with Pices and Cancer's but I have always been strongly attracted to other Scorpio women? It would be cool If I could get a chart of all that stuff to make it clearer as to what I am exactly...sun rising, mercury rising or whatever I am :) LOL. Thanks guys...

Here are a few things about basic astrology; you have a sun sign, a moon sign, and a rising sign (there are no rises in Venus or any other planet in astrology) you can only have a rising sign which is a zodiac sign not a planet, what rising sign you are will depend on the exact time of birth, and I mean exact. Then there are planets they are; Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto( so far most astrologers are still considering Pluto a planet). there are also your north and south nodes chiron, and a few other asteroids. Then if you really want to get complicated there are cusp, orbs, aspect, degrees and critical degrees.These are all contained into houses and each house has a sign such as Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, etc. what signs in which house depends on your rising sign. If you are born at midnight like you wrote then your a Leo rising with a Capricorn moon, As for your other planets, houses and aspects it would take a little bit of researching to find out all of them, when I interpret birth charts it usually takes awhile. I can tell you this, you are probably attracted to Scorpios because of your sun and rising sign. Scorpio and Leo both love a challenge.
