Which one is more important and effective? Your moon, venus or ascendant?

Is it possible that you don't match with your ascendant and only with your Sun sign, or moon, or mars, or else?

Generally speaking, the most important features of an individual's chart are the Sun, Moon and Ascendant.

The Ascendant sign indicates the type of person we seek to project to the world, the way we would like people to see us. The Sun represents our inner, essential self that we gradually discover as we grow older. Consequently, most people relate more strongly to their Ascendant sign than their Sun sign when they are young, since it is more obvious to the world and to themselves.

If a person indicated to me that they did not relate at all to their Ascendant sign, then I would find that unusual and suggest that perhaps there was an error in calculating their birth chart. For the Ascendant to be accurate, a fairly exact birth time is required. If the birth time is inaccurate by even a few minutes, it could produce the wrong Ascendant sign.

The Moon indicates our emotional nature. Consequently, our Moon sign traits are most evident when we become emotional. For instance, a person with a Capricorn Sun and Aries Moon may normally be quiet, reserved and calm (Capricorn), but when they get emotional, they may become more fiery and aggressive (Aries).

However, some people may identity more strongly with certain chart features than others. This depends on a variety of factors. They are as follows -

A person will relate particularly strongly to the planetary/luminary ruler of their Sun sign and Ascendant sign. For instance, a person with a Cancer Sun or Ascendant will identify more strongly than most other people with their Moon sign, since the Moon rules Cancer.

Women tend to relate more strongly to their Moon and Venus sign than men. This is because the Moon and Venus are feminine in nature. Men tend to relate more effectively to their Sun and Mars sign, since the Sun and Mars are masculine.

As mentioned earlier, a person's age is another factor which affects the integration of various chart features. Generally speaking, an individual's birth chart is highly complex. It takes a lifetime for a person to become aware of all these complex features and integrate them into their concept of self.
