I Have No Planets in Gemini, but I Identify the Most with the Description?

I'm a Libra sun (Aqu decan), Moon Sagittarius & Aries rising. My mercury's in Virgo. I have no Gemini in my natal chart, except in the 3rd house.

So why does it seem like I have the most Gemini traits? People consider me lighthearted, adaptable & "intelligent" - which I take to be Geminian traits.

Well....You have Libra Sun which is an airsign which is associated with intellectual,communications,ob... being social.

Lighthearted can be associated with Libra due to its being sociable.It can also be associated with Sagittarius because of its optimistic,jovial nature with it's rulership of Sagittarius. Your Moon is in Sagitttarius.

Adaptable is a trait associated with the mutable signs which Gemini,Virgo,Pisces,and Sagittarus are. You do have Moon in Sagittarius and Mercury in Virgo. My mother has Sun in Gemini, but she has Ascendant,Mercury,Venus,Jupite... Uranus in Cancer along with Moon and Saturn in Scorpio. She is very emotional,sensitive,moody,and subjective. She is intelligent but she's not that adaptable.

I have Sun,Mercury,and Venus in Scorpio,but
I can relate to some of the Gemini stuff myself.I have Mercury,Venus,Jupiter,and Neptune in 3rd house which is house of communications and is associated with Gemini. I have Virgo Ascendant as well as Saturn and Midheaven in Gemini. I have a mutable t-square of Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of Jupiter-Neptune Sagittarius in 3rd and Saturn in Gemini in 9th. That's a strong emphasis on mutable and cadent house(associated with mutable signs). The 12 houses correspond with the 12 signs. I am intelligent,but I have a history of Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,and ADHD with history of special education including auditory therapy,speech therapy,and phonics as well coordination therapy. I was mistakened for lacking in intelligence because of my Dyslexic,Dyspraxic,ADHD symptoms. I have a lifeling history of feelings of intellectual inadequacy. My mind is very hard to pin down and so misunderstood. All that is reflected by my t-square.

There really is no way to tell if a person is intelligent or not in a chart. ...especially when intelligence and learning disabilities co-exist in a lot of people. There are highly intelligent people with speech impediments. Often a people's intelligence is judged by how they verbally express themselves. If a person is highly articulate,he's seen as highly intelligent. If a person has speech problems,he's seen as stupid. That's not necessarily the case. That's why I don't bother assuming that aspects involving Mercury and 3rd house reflects intelligence level or even air or lack of air.
