Is it true that of you were born under the equator your starsign is?

the opposite of what it should be (ie if you were born in South Africa it would be opposite to if you were born in the UK??? It might be rubbish but have been told this before and dont know if its true? Cant find anything about this on the net?

No, it's not. If you were born in Australia, on March 3rd, you would still be a Pisces. When you calculate the Ascendant, (rising sign), that is reversed.
