How are musicians royalties worked out?!

Question: How are musicians royalties worked out!?
Always wondered how do the recording companies know who`s track has been played where and how many times in the world so they know how much in royalty rights to pay them!?
Do the radio stations tell the record companies what they have played!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
There are two music organizations performers, writers, composers need to be members!. These are BMI and ASCAP!.
And indeed these organizations make sure royalties are paid!.

The pay is divided between the performer, lyric writer, music writer!. The pay is 7!.5c!.

It is complicated the the organizations monitor radio, TV, jukeboxes, etc!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
