How do you get over shyness in one day?!


Question: How do you get over shyness in one day!?
I'm in theatre arts and I can't be shy!. The whole reason I signed up for it, is to get over my shyness, because I heard that it helps with that!. I'm just a little nervous because we're starting to act tomorrow and I need to get over this whole shy thing QUICKLY!!! Please help me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You will not get over it in one day!. However, taking a step out of your comfort zone shows that you are prepared and ready to make the change, so that is the hardest part done with!.

The best advice I can offer you is to go out and act like you are not shy!. Acting is about embracing another identity or personality, so by doing your drama stuff, you get to be someone new!. Every time you are on stage, be someone different, and don't be yourself!. If you do that, over time you will not be putting on and act any more; you really won't be shy!

The best advice i can give you is!.!.!.!. fake your confidence!. Shyness won't go away in just 1 day, thats impossible!. I'm still getting over being shy, i had to fake being confident when i sang at a camp out (and it was in front of a guy i really like)!. I'm still shy, just take on the role of being confident i guess since your doing theater arts!. And talk to your teacher about having more confidence on stage, i asked my chorus teacher and he was able to give me a lot of tips!. also just try talking to people in your classes and being a little more open, try to step out of your comfort zone!. Its going to make you nervous, but it'll get more comfortable!.

Suggestions:
1!. before you go you rehearse in your mind the whole process from the time you leave the house to the place, through the whole process, and come back!. Rehearse it as vivid as possible as if you are watching a movie of yourself!. Replay it at least 7 times!. - you should see yourself on stage, see the crowd etc!.
2!. find a quiet place, make yourself comfortable, close your eyes, when you are ready and relaxed, count down from 10 to 1 at each/every second out-breath, slowly!. Then, tell yourself that you are a great actor and nothing is going to stop you from acting!. You are going to act well!. Tell yourself the same thing at least 7 times!. Then count up from 1 to 10 at each in-breath!.
3!. Keep doing the above when you have time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Find some stoners and start smoking pot!. Your shyness will drift away as you giggle and have fun and find it easy to talk to people!. Just don't make it a habit or your shyness will get worse!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
