Question: Would you take this offensively!?
OK so yesterday at recess my friend was swinging and my other friends knocked her off the swing and she swing came and hit me in the face!. so i went in to get an ice pack because my eye was all puffed up and already turning black!. i got into the office and said can i have an ice pack because i got hit in the face with a swing!? and this one teacher started laughing at me!. i was crying because my eye really hurt and he was laughing, would you take that offensively!? I was kinda mad but my other friend was really mad at the teacher!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, it was rude and unfeeling for ANYONE to laugh at another's injury, although I think that this is pretty prevalent among teachers who have been teaching too long!. They no longer have empathy for young people but worse yet, validate their actions toward them based on the fact that students are younger and therefore have a "non-person" status!. This is what I truly hated about school - burnt out teachers who deep down really hated kids and didn't much try to hide it!. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot that you can do - aside from completely avoiding him, being only cooly polite if absolutely necessary - this should at least let your friends know that at despite your age, YOU are the mature one!. When you move on to another school or at least out of arm's reach,write a polite letter to the school board, letting them know exactly what happened and how it made you feel!. Pressure comes from above, you see, and by applying a bit of pressure to those above him, he might at least rethink the way he treats students!. Good luck!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
