Question: Is it wrong for me to not want to go to the senior prom!?
I'm a senior, and the senior prom is in May!. But I don't really want to go, 'cause I don't have a boyfriend and I know I most likely won't get a date!. (I've never had any good luck with boys!.)
If I had a date, it would be different!. Oh, and I don't really like dressing up because I feel self conscious!.

It's not at all wrong, but think hard about where you will be in 10-20 years, and deep down you will probably look back and regret not going!.
I'm sure there is plenty of single guys who are probably thinking the same thing right now!. Why not try your luck with someone, and even if you don't hit it off with them, you'll still have had the experience with your friends and enjoyed your night!.
If you feel self conscious about wearing a nice dress, go shopping with a group of friends or friend and ask them to give their honest opinion of any clothing item you pick out, that way you'll get responses from other peoples views and you'll know that your looking fine!. As long as you don't wear something outrageously noticeable, no-one will throw a negative comment your way all night!. And if you pick a great dress, enjoy your shower of "Wow, she looks so pretty tonight, I wish I'd taken her!.!.!." comments :P

no, it's okay if you don't really want to go to the senior prom!. however, as you already said, it is a once in a life time opportunity, and it's only october, the school year is still somewhat fresh, and there's time before the prom in May!. a lot could change between now and then, besides you could also go with your friends and just hang out!. and about feeling self-conscious, do you have any extra-curricular activities, where you have to perform or things like that!? doing those types of things would help!. it's easier to put yourself out there when you've done things before in front of lots of people!. there's a lot you should think about, before making the final decision!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
no, i never felt like paying to go to those events when i was in high school either- similarly because i never had a date!. but, i did go to my senior prom because i had a group of my girlfriends that didn't have dates either so i wasn't completely solo! ask around your friends, suggest to those without steady boyfriends that you all go as a group instead of desperately trying to find some guy, any guy to take you just so you're not alone!. going with friends is always better than going with a date you don't really like! and if they're not interested, no big deal, it's not the end of the world to go alone or to even not go!. if you think you might regret it someday then go alone or try and find a nice guy or a guy friend or something like that to go with!. if you really don't think it will ever bother you then don't worry about it, you're probably right! honestly, most proms aren't all they're cracked up to be anyway, which is why it's better with friends than a date- then it's whatever you make it, not what it's "supposed" to be!Www@Enter-QA@Com

You should go You can always hang out with your friends and such, I didn't have a date but I still went to enjoy a good time with my friends!. You could ask some of your guy friends if they'd like to dance or something, I did that And I had a blast Good Luck!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i didn't go to mine!! i should of and wish i would of, but at that time i was messed up into drugs and my gf and i just skipped it and had our own "party" bad mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
