Any ideas on what my first electric guitar should be?!

Question: Any ideas on what my first electric guitar should be!?
I'm looking to buy a nice good Electric Guitar, I am willing to pay around 200-300$!. Do you have any ideas!?

The main kind of music I'd play would be Rock, and some Metal!.

And if you could find a good Headphone Amp while you are at it would be awesome to!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would recommend an Ibanez RG series!. You can get one around that range and they are decent guitars too!. Personally I love Ibanez, or Schecter!.

As far as amps go, a good one for cheap is Raven!. Comes with a headphone jack so you can plug it in and play quietlyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Don't waste your money when learning, trust me!. Go with a basic Fender which go for around 100 bucks just about everywhere you go!. When you're learning, there's WAY more important things than the quality of the guitar!. Spend the 100 on the guitar and spend the extra money on strings and pics cause you'll go through both while learning!.

I've played guitar now for 15 years and have taught 3 people from scratch just like you, and this is the advice I give all of them too!. You're learning how to play so only the basics are needed!. Having a more expensive guitar won't help the learning any at all!. Especially since you're just gonna be practicing on a small amp or headphones!. Expensive guitars are more for bands who use big equipment and need a lot of sound for concerts or specific sounds for recording!. As long as your guitar makes noise, thats all you need for learning!.

Fender's make great beginner guitars that last a long time and are decent sounding!. As for your headphone thing, you can have ANY amp you want and be able to use headphones!. All you have to do is when you go to the music store, ask for a headphone connector for the amp and they only cost like a buck or two!. It's a little piecce that you plug your headphone jack into then plug the piece into the amp!. It's kind alike those pieces you plug into your wall so that you can have the 3-socket extension!.

Get a Fender Strat, they're nice and sturdy and good for beginners!. I'm not sure how much they'd be in the US, but they should be in your price range!.

But if you're looking for something a bit more left field, the best cheap electric guitar I ever owned was a Danelectro U2!. I'm not sure if they're still being made, but they have a hollow body so you can get a bit more volume out of them when they're unplugged!. They look gorgeous too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
