I don't know if this is your idea of fun or not, but do understand that i live in the mountains with like 5 neighboring towns!. I live in-between the smallest and largest!. The largest town is the only town with "real" grocery stores (not markets) and a pizza place and coffee shop and movie theatre and bowling alley!. Night here ends at like 8:30, except at Vons!. What my friends and I do sometimes is go to vons after a semi long night and people watch!. All the rugged men come in to buy bananas and stuff and they are very interesting to talk to and watch and sometimes they argue with the people working in the store!. Or, we drive to this meadow and there is a small hike to the top of this rock!. So we hike for like 15 minutes and sit up there and start a small campfire and talk, it's really fun!.
