How do you get a buzz out of the saxaphone?? ?!
Question: How do you get a buzz out of the saxaphone!?!? !?
I got my alto(however you spell it) saxophone just last week from my band teacher and I tried to get a buzz out of it but it wouldn't work!.
I putted the neck piece and mouth piece together and then stuck the neck piece onto the saxophone!. Then, I sucked on my reed(however you spell it) for about 2-3 Mins and then, I stuck it onto my mouth piece and blew on it like how you'd blow on a recorder the right way!. IT WILL NOT WORK! Do you have to like, make the sound you do when you're cold or something!? Did I do something wrong!? I hope I'll get my first sound out of the saxophone!! Any tips or tell me how! PLease! Hi :) I have an alto saxophone but i don't play it anymore :| but anyway make sure you've got the reed facing downwards and instead of sucking it trying licking it a few times but make sure its not too damp! When you blow on it don't puff your cheeks out just blow it like you are whistleing even if you cant whistle you hold you mouth in the same way !. Hope this helps if you want anymore help just ask !
