How long will it take for me to learn how to play guitar?!
Question: How long will it take for me to learn how to play guitar!?
I want to learn how to play guitar so i can join my church's band!.
There's a few things i want to add:
1) Is Electric guitar or Acoustic guitar is better for beginner like me!?
2) My mom not willing to pay for my lessons from teacher so I will be self- taught
3) I don't need to be a real guitarist or something, I just want to be able to learn how to read tab and play worship song!.

Answers:
1) its all up to you, I've always played electrics, but that'ss because I found them easier for me to play!. It all depends on you, if the church is large, you would want an electric, or acoustic-electric, so you could amplify it!.(or get an acoustic guitar pickup)
2) I myself am self taught, and i play at my church, too!. all you need to know is some chords, and you can get a simple chord book from a book store
3) you should be up and ready for church in under a month, but for that, you have to play every day, or every other day, bring the guitar, show up early, and jam with them, they will probably show you how to play certain things, and give you some pointers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Acoustic is great for playing alone!.
