Question: How much does a DJ usually cost for a 5 hour wedding in Sydney!?

Don't forget to speak to the DJ a week before hand and find some songs you love and ask the DJ to play them, to really make the night yours!.
PS make sure the DJ gets a meal and a scooner of beer every hour!.
Doing this will put him onside and make him work his very best for you!.

It depends what kind of DJ you're looking for!. Usually the cheapest ones are the "Wedding DJ's" that only play Top 40, and the usual Chicken Dance type of stuff!.
Now, if you're looking for a professional DJ, like a House DJ, Trance DJ, those will charge from 2500 dollars to 35 grand for couple of hours!.
