the ending is confusing not the ending where that dude is really alive and his twin is dead!. an that guy betrayed the main character(who's wife dies in the tank) when the movie is about to end(like the last second) it shows some guy behind a mirror(or a a door) is it the main character (who's wife dies in the tank) is he really alive personally i hate when movies do that the audience watching don't know what really happened

That machine the guy bought made a clone of him, which is why you saw lots of him in the water!. He really did die!.
His enemy also had a twin, but i think his twin was the one that was hung!.
