I have an OC snare drum for sale!. I could mail you pics!. It's killer, a 2001 piccolo snare with silver dollar size holes in the body!. It's a great drum!.!.!.I just have too many snare drums!. A piccolo has a higher snap or crack, a larger snare has more bottom end!.!.more thud sounding!. It all depends on what kind of music you play!. For live unmiced drums!.!.I suggest a piccolo snare!.!.the high sound cuts through more!. Old school metal players used larger drums!.!.but then in the 90s they switched over to smaller drums!.!.but sometimes it's about what's in!.!.!.or just convenience of hauling around smaller drums!. But really it comes down to what sound you like!. I hope this helps!.
