Question: What exactly do TV & movie producers do!?
Their names are the first ones you see before the show or movie starts (majority of the time) but what do they do!? Is it mostly money!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

They produce!.!.!. whether it's dealing with money, people, or time (scheduling)!. They essentially make it all happen and are the main owners of whatever is created!. When I say main owners, I mean, by default, they own whatever is created, however, they can give partial or full ownership to anyone depending on contract negotiations!. They also, by default, get all the revenue, which is of course distributed (depending on contract) to the above the line players!. There are different types of producers that do different aspects of the "making it all happen" part!.!.!. executive, associate, assistant, line, etc!. This is essentially why they're names come up first!. The project is "their baby" even if they hire someone else (director) to call it their baby!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
There is an executive producer who handles the money (whether it's from a studio, network, production company or private investors), and then a line producer who puts the show together, hires the writer, director, stars, crew, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
