Re-issued Guitars?!

Question: Re-issued Guitars!?
What's the difference between
The original Guitars and the re-issued guitars!?
What does it mean (re-issued)!.!.!?
I mean, are they the same as just the newly made guitars!?
Example:
Gibson Firebird VII!.
The originals were made in 1963!.
Then there's the re-issued!.!.
Then, there's the!.!. newly made Firebirds (which are not the same as the re-issued ones!.!.!.!. or are they!?)

Because the re-issues are around $500,
and just buying the firebird VII (newly made ones)
is around $3,000!.00

I'm kinda confused!.
Thanks for helping out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
"Re-Issue" means the company is trying to "recreate" the original guitar, as closely as possible!.

The originals AND the re-issues all vary a bit, from guitar to guitar!.

The originals will almost always be worth more, and cost more, because of their collector's value!.

When Gibson/Epi makes a "regular production" Firebird, it might be close to original specs, or may vary quit a bit!.
Gibson/Epi and Fender are BOTH famous for making MANY variations of their original guitars!.

95% of the time, they DON'T distress the guitars, unless they call them a "Relic"!.

Fender "Relics" have been "worn or distressed" at the factory to make them look like an old guitar, with 40-50 years of wear!.
Fender Re-Issues, have NOT been distressed, unless they are called Relics!.

I've never seen a Gibson Relic, but they've probably made some!.
Fender originated the idea, back "around" 1990!?
not sure of the year!.

Gibon/Epi have made SO MANY different variations of the Firebird, that I'd want to hold it in my hands, before I paid any money out for it!.
The couple that I've seen close up, weren't bad guitars, once they were set up properly!.

Gibson reissues, are a LOT more than $500, so it must be an Epi!. (subsidiary of Gibson)
Epi's made in Japan are the best Epi's but they are probably more than $500 too!. It will vary on the model again!.

Like I said, Gibson/Epi have made SO many variations of their guitars, it can be VARY confusing, so I do understand!.

"Please keep in mind that i'm a beginner! Which should i get!?"

All the more reason it's hard to "suggest" a guitar, that I haven't seen,
Not trying to confuse you, really, but I always go by how a guitar "feels", and you can't tell that without putting your hands around it!.

My 1st guess would be to get the Epiphone (nickname Epi)
which is the red Firebird copy!.

At least if you get tired of it, or don't like it, you can probably sell it easier, because it's a well known copy of a Gibson Firebird!.

If you look real close at the name on the "headstock", I'll bet it says Epiphone on it!.

Just to let you know, an "Original" Gibson Firebird, from the early '60's could be worth from $10K $20K $30,000 +, depending on the model, color, and condition!?!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hello!

Reissue guitars are called that because they work to "distress" the finish so it looks like it was an original guitar!. They also use parts that hail from the old days!.!.!. Fender is most known for their reissues!.!.!.!. They have a separate shop to distress the guitars so they have that used look!.

New and original guitars tend to be higher because they have come a long way to update them with upgrades like noiseless pickups, better necks, frets and bridges!.

Personally, I would want the new one and work to accidentally distress it myself - something I'm pretty good at!
