Veronica Carlson, who starred in two of my favorite Hammer films, "Dracula Has Risen from the Grave" and "Frankenstein Must be Destroyed"; regrettably, she retired from films, in the mid-seventies, in order to raise a family!. However, as she has always been quite devoted to her fans, family life has not deterred her from the occasional film appearance, as evident from a little known and obscure horror anthology, called "Freakshow", which is actually an amusingly gruesome and fun horror flick, which she did with Gunner 'Leatherface' Hansen, in 1995!.!.!.!.
!.!.!.!.if I had to pick a contemporary actress, who has the same beautifully doe-eyed eeriness about her, as did the chillingly ravishing and hypnotic veteran actress, Barbara Steele, that would be Christina Ricci; Ms!. Steele has amazingly remained quite active in films, up to this day; her early days in the '60's Italian horror cinema, gave way to numerous horror and cult film entries in the '70's and early eighties, which included director David Cronenberg's "Shivers", producer Roger Corman's "Piranha" & "Caged Heat", and even an entry in the late '70's & early '80's slasher/splatter era, with the suspenseful horror chiller, "The Silent Scream"!.!.!.
