What's your view on lip piercings?!
Question: What's your view on lip piercings!?
I'm almost fifteen and a few of my friends that are my age have lip piercings and I really want one!.
My Dad is totally against the idea of me getting one, and it just kills me!.
He said they make people look trashy!.
I tried to tell him that you can take them out at any time and they will close up!.
My friend Shelley had to take hers out to get an x-ray and she had a hard time getting it back in afterwards, because it had already started trying to close back up!.
I think I'm old enough to start deciding things like this for myself!.
Truthfully, I don't see why it should be such a big deal, anyways!.

I think you should ask your dad if it would be ok with him if you paid for it!.
And you can buy clear plugs to put in it for anytime that you wouldn't want it in (job interviews, etc!.)!.

My view on lip piercings is rather neutral!. I have nothing against piercing oneself!. My view on people who get lip piercings is rather different however, and I'm only giving it to you because you asked, I would never openly comment on someone's lip piercing or act untowardly to them!. Anyway when I see a lip piercing I'm thinking that the pierced person is seeking attention!. Typically people seek attention because they need approval, thus I'm thinking that said person is insecure about an aspect of themselves, whether it be their body, their decisions, their personality, or even a minute aspect of any of these aspects!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I personally don't care for lip piercings!. I do however believe in self expression!. Having said that!.!.!.!.you have a right to express your self but, you are only 15 and still live with you parents and you probably do not work, right!? So, since dad is still paying for everything and he has the right to choose what he does or does not want to spend money on!. I would suggest finding a different way of expressing your self until your 18, or until you start working and can come to an agreement with your dad!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
