How fast do you play the tempo Largo cantabile?!
Question: How fast do you play the tempo Largo cantabile!?
So, I have a sheet of music for auditions for a district festival this year!. At the top of the sheet, the tempo says Largo cantabile!. How fast is that supposed to be!? I know Largo means slow!. The piece is also in 12/8 time!. How do you play that!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Whatever sounds good!. Cantabile means "singing style"!. It sounds to me that you would play that slowly and expressively!. If it doesn't give you a number then having the exact right tempo is not going to be a major issue!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
