How do you tell a boy in your band that there is absolutely no chance in hell he!

Question: How do you tell a boy in your band that there is absolutely no chance in hell he is singing, nicely!?
He tried!. But his voice is not good!. At all!. I don't want to be the one to have to do it because it was supposed to be singing and it would just sound rude coming from me!.

3 bandmates!. Him, a girl, and myself!. The girl and I already decided no to him, but he doesn't seem to get it!.

Is there a way to be firm about this!? Should we get an outside opinion to prove it!? Help me please!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This is what I would say!.!.!. I could be wrong but!.!.!.
"I am sorry but the style of your voice doesn't fit with the style we are looking for, we like the style of your _______, and we would love you to play with us but your voice doesn't really fit in with what we had in mind!."

Telling some one that thier voice is not good is hard on the teller and the tellee!.!.!.
NO one likes to hear that they can't sing, and no one likes to disillusion some one who thinks they can!. Best advice I can give is just tell him that his voice doesn't fit in with your style (you aren't telling him he is bad, just that it isn't right) And you don't need to prove to him that his voice isn't great, but you might consider asking him if he has ever had a lesson, and that perhaps if he were to learn the skill (Not the talent, that is given with a certian kind of heart with music, any one can learn to sing, no one can learn to get into the song zone, it is all about heart!.) that you might be willing to give him a chance later on, but for now, this is your plan!.
I hope I have helped even in a small way!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If he's your friend: give him some generic nice, but firm, rejection!. Just tell him you're not kidding around!.

If he's not your friend: Just tell him to get the fck out of your band!. It's not like you'll ever see him again!.

Or just tell the chick to tell him!.

If you want any respect for your band, you need to kick him our ASAP!Www@Enter-QA@Com

"I'm sorry, but you don't have the type of voice we are looking for!. Thanks for trying out!"

or

"I hate to break it to you, but you don't have the greatest singing voice, however, you are really good at ________ and we'd like to use you for that!. Thanks!"Www@Enter-QA@Com

Just tell him what the plan for the band is!. Don't string the poor kid along, just cut him loose and say something like "I'm sorry, but it just isn't working out!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, you could "audition" for some friends and let THEM be the ones to say he isn't all that good!

But, do it quick so he isn't getting his hopes up and stuff!

Good Luck! =)Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think you should record him singing!. then play it back to him!. and then compare it to a really good singer's voice!.
