I'm looking for new music (at least new to me) that's different and entertaining and interesting!.
Something that steps away from the cookie-cutter, repetitive junk that is constantly put on the radio!.
I'm willing to listen to any genre!. Except country, still can't stand that!.

also, go for old stuff!. May I also recommend the influential Prog rockers of the70s like Yes and Genesis!. If you think you've heard those bands because you heard the songs "Owner of a lonely heart" or Phil Collins singing "Invisible Touch" on the 80s radio station, think again!. These guys and many others were *completely and utterly different* back in the 70s than they were in the 80s!. I recommend first by Genesis: Selling England By the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway!.

Personally, I find the band "Rush" to be fun and exciting!. With songs like "Tom Sawyer" and "YYZ," they rock hard, and the thing is they are completely non-main-stream music!. if you are looking for more main stream style music, I suggest the band "The Who"!. They have some pretty good songs as well like "Won't be Fooled Again" and "Baba O'Reiley!." I hope this helps!.
