It's hard to think really!.!.!. I didn't think much to All Saints' take on 'Under the Bridge'!.!.!. but Lily Allen's version of that Kaiser Chiefs' song is quite charming!. Tori Amos' 'Smells like Teen Spirit' is good too, a sort of yin to Cobain's yang if you will!.!.!. If I don't like a cover, I tend to block it out of my mind!.!.!. I agree with the below respondent about Madonna's American Pie, and I will now forget it exists again!.!.!.

Hendrix's 'Can you please crawl out your window' is alright, but he doesn't get the tempo changes that made the Vacel's original so nice at all!.!.!. having mentioned Hendrix, I have to say 'All Along the Watchtower' is probably my favourite cover, now I think of it, but he did a great 'Day Tripper' as well, BBC sessions rather than PPX studio version, obviously!.!.!. Bowie's take on Jaque Brel's 'Amsterdam' is storming as well, I prefer the one where he does it straight up, just vox and acoustic guitar, and doesn't slur his vocals so much!.!.!. The Rolling Stones doing Slim Harpo's 'Shake Your Hips' is a lot of fun too!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was gonna say the same as neonjack!. Man Who Sold The World is my favourite cover!.

also, Cat Power does a good (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction!.

As for worst!.!.!. Not sure of the artist but somebody killed Pink Floyd's Brick In The Wall in the form of a hideous dance track!. And Hilary Duff ruined My Generation by The Who!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Mary Chapin Carpenter's take on Lucinda Williams' "Passionate Kisses" was terrific!.

Madonna's effort on "American Pie" makes me cringe just thinking about it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

how about nirvana's cover of 'the man who sold the world'!? pure class!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
