How to play a third octave G, on alto sax.?!


Question: How to play a third octave G, on alto sax!.!?
not vital, but an easy 10 points for pointers, and crap, it's just i get extra credit credit if i can play it!.

please help me learn a 3rd octave G, in BbWww@Enter-QA@Com

There are fingerings for it, but they are not a huge help because the G and G# for the third octave are generally the most difficult notes to sound on the altissimo range!. http://www!.wfg!.woodwind!.org/ is a good site for fingerings!. What you need to work on though is your overtone practice!. There are tons of great books like "Top Tones for Saxophone" by Sigurd Rascher, "Ted Nash's Studies in High Harmonics" and others!. Believe me, the overtones will do so much more for you than the fingerings ever will because all the fingerings do is help on intonation of the note, not achievement!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
