My band has been in the under ground scene for 4 years....?!
Question: we were just offered a record deal with some new record company (indie score) as there "first Project" they have conections seeing as thier producer is a former member of reprise but they want us to change our name from :"minority down" to "out going imputence"...we dont like the idea of a name change or the request to start playing metal punk rather then our emo style we play now but this could be our chance at hitting the main stream and gettin in to te media ... but is it worth loosing a peice of our selves like our style and name.... help its a really difficult choice...if u are a real musician u will understand my point

Don't do it, Dude....
That's selling out. They want you to have a new name and new sound, you shouldn't just change yourself for it.
I say don't do it.
You'll get another opportunity hopefully.
