If they are constantly falling out, or are really dirty, then you might want to get them re-haired at that point.
But also, depending on the bow you have:
If it's a real wooden one, then you want it re-haired.
But if it's a "plastic-y" type on, then it would be cheaper to actually just buy a new one.
Every six months to a year. If the hair is not catching the string, looks dirty or worm.
