Concert starting time?!

Question: There's a show that starts at 9pm but there's two opening acts. Doors open at 8pm.

So does 9pm mean that main act starts at 9 or that's when the opening acts start playing? What time should I get there if I just want to be see the main act?

The time refers to the start point of the opening acts. I would get there at 10:30 if you only want to see the main act. Don't listen to the other posters.

Doors open at 8:00
Show starts at 9:00

There will be a line up Before 8:00
So be there by like 6:30 or 7 for a nice spot.

Usually the best band plays last. They call that top billing. The only thing is that you need to get there at 8:00 to get the good seats for the band that plays last. Sometimes this is a good thing and the other bands are great to listen to and other times they stink! Good luck have fun at the concert!

I'd get there for about half 8, then if there is a bar there get a drink of some sort, get in the crowd listen to the last bit of one band while squeezing to the front.

doors opening at 8 most likely means the music won't start until 9. If there are 2 opening acts before the main act that would be at least an hour ( probably longer ) before the main act begins. I would suggest around 10 if you have pre arranged seating. if it's open seating and the act you want to see is very popular I would get there earlier.
