That is an awesome beginners pack. The amp must be around $60, and the case must be $50 more. The guitar looks like a great beginner instrument and I guess it's not tall rip off.
If it's electric, you NEED an amp. You will get very frustrated, and want to start experiencing with sound.
I might also recommend you get an amp and guitar separately. That way, you can pick out what's good and bad.
Epiphone is the guitar most use for hardrock.
I use fender strat for jazzing and blues.
The sunburst looks awesome.
