i remember there was talk back in the late 70s to amke the movie; but there were so many roadblocks in tryin' to come up with a viable screenplay and script...
kinda says something about how powerful a book is if hollywood can't tame it, doesn't it?...
of course..in today's prequel/sequel/remake/remake of the pequel's sequel culture...a movie based on a book like that would have to feature explosions, car chases, slo-mo action scenes and a rock n' roll soundtrack!...
