Anyone Know OF Any Good Music???!
Question: New music, I mean?
Does anyone else find the rock music today to be insincere and, frankly, unintelligent?
For that matter, what music isn't insincere and unintelligent these days?
Everything I listen to I find it to be extremely cliche. Nobody truly touches up on issues anymore, or even expresses a true representation of their life experiences or feelings.
Anyway, if you know of any good current music please enlighten me.

I enjoy anything that showcases its lyricism. One of the things I find cliche are any bands that mention the words "Pain", "Hole", "tears" etc. way too many times throughout their album. I just feel as though there are innovative ways to express feelings of pain or pressure, and that people who use these methods are more in tune with their feelings therefore they produce a much more sincere, avant-garde experience.
Also any bands that may use their music to create a sort of sound-scape.

depends what genres you're into.
i'm very into patty griffin and this australian band called 'george' at the moment. lyrically they're both geniuses and they produce wonderful melodies as well.
if you're strictly into rock, i can't suggest much because for me i enjoy rock music for the music more than the lyrics. i definitely agree with you about the trash being released these days, and let's not only singalise rock music only because lately nothing is tickling my fancy, and it hasn't for about 2 decades.
if you want i can give you a bunch of classic rock artists who fit your criteria, but i'm sure you probably already know most of them. i'm talking about people like INXS, Metallica...etc...

EDIT: actually i just thought of someone. there's this awesome australian band called 'the tea party'. you'd probably enjoy them because they vary between heavy rock and lighter rock and the lyrics aren't cliche or boring.
my favourite songs are 'a certain slant of light', 'in this time', 'dreams of reason' and 'the river'. i hope you enjoy them!
