Question: when someone sends you a text message, is the time it says it was sent at the time on your phone or the time on their phone? like, if someone lives in a different state to you so there is a time difference, what time will it say the message was sent at?

Its the time of ur state send by the network company ur using..
it would be the time on your phone
it will be to your time
your cell's time.
just convert that into ur own state's time!
My phone never provides the right time and i dont know how to change that. Most of my freinds also have a Motorolla V3 and are having the same troubles, so im not sure if its a factory fault or just disfunctional.
It may depend on the phone, but I have verizon and I know I have a friend in a different time zone and when he texts me it shows up at what time i received it my time. When I'm visiting him and he texts me, it shows that it was sent at my home time, and received at his time (ie, sent at 11:02am received at 12:02pm). I hope this helps and makes sense.

i have a verizon blackberry 8830, and it shows the time where i am, even though my mom, and sister live in Kentucky, and i live in California.
I think is in your phone time because if you received it, you can see in your time so therefore is your time.Hope it will help you analized the time.
