You might be spoiling him if he thinks that expensive. Tone it down and just go to a park with a bat and a Pinyata. thell heve tons of fun just runing around. I was 10 only 3 years ago you know. Save you money to buy him something nice for his birthday maybe a Wii or sumthin. But make sure to put time limits on it! To do sumthing thats "cool" bring lots of things to play with. Like frisbees and stuff. I think thats "cool". But, i always liked simple parties, try simple parties with him he might like it like I do. Wait i just realised u said u lived in Michigan. I understand im ur neighbor in Wisconsin! In that case u definatley don't want them cooped up in the house. Maybe go sledding and out playing in the snow. Im not sure what you would do with the pinata maybe in the garage or sumthin.

Hope this helps!

ask him what he wants!!!

get him a good General Knowledge book

If you have a dollar store or something of the sorts you can get a lot of things there. They even have themes that you can do some of course are childish but you can get somethings that are more mature. Also you can do like a theme like a movie party or something along those lines. You can even host like a pool party, maybe if he is into sports do like a game of his fav. Also google inexpensive party ideas and that may help you out. Good Luck

Since money is an issue this year, take them all to the park with balls, bats, pinata, etc. They will entertain themselves while you watch. Serve cake and punch. Cheap, but fun.

Think about a theme maybe career paths and they come dresses as what they wanna be when they're older.

or for game ideas etc what about the donut game
Donuts r hung from a string and the people have to see who can eat it the fastest without using their hands.
