My first My Chemical Romance Concert....?!

Question: OK so im going to my first mcr concert (the one in philadelphia on may 6th), and i have a few questions.

Are you aloud to sit (or stand) wherever?

im 13 and im planning on going with my friend. should we be okay, or should i bring an adult?

any suggestions on staying safe and not getting split up?

what restrictions do they have as far as what your aloud to bring?

ithats just about all....any other suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm speaking from experience here. So its a little scrambled.

MCR concerts are always very fun. I dont know what venue they are playing in Philly but I don't think they have seats. What type of ticket do you have? I'm sure that all these venues are mostly general admission.

So that means theres a stage and then the floor, nothing else. No seats. That means no sitting.

And you seem pretty young and inexperienced. So it might be tough. Their crowds aren't exactly rowdy but its going to be packed. People pushing and shoving, trying to get closer.

And if you get anywhere near a mosh pit, its brutal. Same near the barrier. Everyone behind you will be trying to push closer and your body will take a beating. But it wont hurt until later.

It will be tough to stay with your friend. I got split from my sister and we've been to a lot of concerts before.

My advice is to stay dehydrated. Always be courteous and watch out for crowd surfers. Gerard is really good with watching the crowd and pointing out when someone falls. People in the crowd are always nice and will pick you up. In some cases some guys will help protect you. It happened with me, a random guy who was nice enough to pick me up stood behind me the entire concert so I didn't fall again.

Dont wear anything that will get in your way or someone else's way. Some venues wont allow cameras or metal belts and such. Be sure to check with your venue online or by phone.

If you want to know more just ask. Hope you have a good time!

hold hands

EVERYBODY stands and btw they were soooo awesome in concert, you will love it. like the first post says, you need to stick together by holding hands. me and my 3 friends actually do this: whenever we get pushed hard all of us hold hands and shove em back seriously you gotta be brutal out there. everyone is pushing and jumping and everything but there are also really cool ppl who try to be courteous. and for goodness sake stay out of the mosh pits!!! gl
