But if you want to learn how to PLAY something. Piano or violin are beautiful and I've always wanted to learn. I play guitar drums bass trombone and a little trumpet. But piano is much more pretty.

Pick up bass guitar. It's easier to learn than guitar and bass players are always in demand.
piano will give you a great foundation for learning music, guitar is cheaper and will eventually get you laid!!
