the survivin' beatles (and the estates of john and george) still retain the performance rights to the beatles catalog...so it's a legal issue...
there were reports and rumors late last year that a deal was very close that would make the beatles's songs avavilable on itunes sometime in the first half of this year...
They may not be up on sale on iTunes because they probably do not have the permission to sell their music.
No contract with Apple Records yet.
