Does Hospital food encourage you to get well?!
Question: Hospital food is not only nasty but sometimes you have to question whether or not it is nutritional for you...I wish they would give people better food so that they don't feel like they are being treated less than what they are - especially to pregnant women or elderly people.
So yes, it does encourage me to go home! I absolutely hate it! They practically give you nothing and you're sitting in there paying an arm and a leg for their medical services, the least they could do is provide SOMETHING more!

The hospital I was in wasn`t too bad for food, I was only in for 2 days though

At least, not in the hospital in which I worked, where the Canteen food had little to commend it and if you were on a shift which meant eating after 2.0 p.m. you did not eat chips unless you wanted a chipped tooth.
For patients who want very little to eat, they can have the delights of soup and a sandwich; not to be recommended because the soup would be "instant" powdered reconsituted by the staff, inadequately stirred and incredibly oversalted.
Sandwiches arrived with the heated trolley, dried out with curled corners.
The patients who did best had their meals brought in by friends and relatives.
OMG - yes! When I was six I had pneumonia and had to stay 10 days in the hospital. One breakfast had this slimy, clear, liquid in a small custard cup. Found out it was raw egg!! Did NOT eat that. Didn't eat most of the stuff. I psyched out the staff by pushing the food around the edges. They actually bought it because they harassed my one room mate about her not eating her food and used me as a good example.
