Why does Hollywood pretend they care about society/world, when they're only !
Question: My parents told me upon meeting many ppl in Hollywood that are in the industry that they're hypocrites. They go on television, and it's good PR, to make it like they care about what's going on in the world, and in our country and they shell out millions (which could really be put to better use than to make some movie) on these "movies that care," when in all reality, they coulndn't care or give 5 minutes of their time to ANYONE that's not in their industry or can do something for them.
For example, some go out and eat and don't even look at the waitors and waitresses that serve them their food. Or anyone else. It's like "leave me the f alone, you don't exist," yet later that same day, those people will preach how "we must make meaningful movies and save the planet!"
It's so hypocritical. Then they also partake in lots of boozing, some do drugs, meaningless sex,
and at the end of the day,
it's ALL about the bottom line: their life and paycheck.

the same persons/corporations that yields the double edge swords have a vested interest with Hollywood, just another way of psychologically manipulating the population
There are hypocrites in ALL walks of life..not just in the entertainment industry
And when you think about it, aren't we ALL out for ourselves first?
I mean if I or my family is hungry, won't I feed them first...?
And then if there's money left over, won't I buy them clothes, shelter, a movie ticket, an edcuation???
If a person scores a 95 on an exam...are they being selfish because your 75 now looks poor?
Stop being so jealous of others success and condemning them because they do not follow the same view as you do.
Do not pretend you know what they are doing and thinking.
Let them live their lives...you just do the best you can with YOUR life.

Your problem here is that you are stereotyping a large group of people as if they all were the same. They are not all party goers. They are not all drug addicts and boozers. That is not right or accurate. Nothing more hypocritical than judging people and stereotyping them like you are doing, so what's the difference? Most people in Hollywood do more for serious social issues every year than you'll do your entire life. Are you mad because they make a lot of money? You are not out to make the best life for yourself? How are you any different? I don't think you're fooling anyone, either. You're just jealous.

Some of them do use their star status to shine a light on world problems like Clooney has done on Dafur...he even went there with his journalist Dad to record and bring back info...Lots of so called stars do give enormous amounts to charity...so would you say the same of all the sports stars as well ?
Reality check some people do make huge amounts of money ...
Why dont you and give all yours to the unfortunate in this world ?
That is just society in general, it really is true that you can only trust a handful of people in your life.
