Taking daughter to manchester m.e.n arena.advice please???!

Question: im hoping to take my daughter to her 1st concert to see avril lavigne.it look like its standing tickets only left is this a no no for an 11 yo ( and a knackered near 40 yo !!) how long do these things last?
last people i saw were the pogues in 1988......................

I went to see ub40 last december. We had seats on the upper tier......(really vertical drop!!) It lasted about 2 and a half hours. Depends if the artist and support are on time.
