Telephone tracing?!
Question: I used the works telephone to get tunes for my mobile and the boss is going mad. she`s asked for the call cost (￡15) to be put in her office or else she will take it further.
My question is - if she called the company could they give her the number of my mobile or what else could she do.
To call the company would cost her alot of money again i would think.
p.s if this is in the wrong section what section should i put it in?

Does it matter if she finds out its you or not? Just pay her, it's your bill not hers, regardless to who's phone you used. Take responsibility for your own actions

put it in electronics or something like that - you'll get a lot of stupid answers here.
Chances of them giving out people's numbers to whoever phones up is very very slim.
If I were you though I'd pay for what you did and get it over with before she gets even more pissed off and fires you.
Just own up to her or annonymously leave the cost of the call....there are ways she can find out who made the call so best come clean before she has to investigate herself....better in the long run.
I think you should pay up or you`ll get slapped or even fired or be felt to be made uncomfortable or even sent to coventry or made to fetch the sandwiches....or something totally stupid. Just own up and pay up, its the right thing to do.
Suppose it depends where the phone company is as different countries have different laws on privacy.
You either pay up or hope she cant trace your number!
