I am also in a band and i am 12 first u have to video tape urself then put it on youtube some ppl get discovered off of youtube for example Taylor Swift is 18 she was at the grammy's and she was discovered on youtube that is what i have been doing

Well you're pretty young, I would just practice for now, build up your musician skills, and maybe get a myspace later on, play shows, etc. Thats how you get discovered.

Film yourselves playing and put it on youtube.

well... nick.com ( nickalodeon) try doing something like the naked brothers band? have your parents help , try writing a newspaper in your local area because i think your way too young to get like actual gigs and stuff , but you can try to get local attention. But i would say ask your parents

First you have to not be terrible...then you need to play small shows, garages and so forth, then eventually someone will discover you. The main thing to do is not suck..

finish school first !

hey!

me, my sis and another two girls started a band last year.

at first, play for free. it'll get u out there practising and help ur confidence heaps. start small and it'll slowly get bigger.

big tip: dont play at pubs! lol it does NOT help. believe me we tried. when ur younger than 18 u dont get the respect u want in pubs.

get urself a myspace when ur ready, its really helpful and fun. see if u can get a demo done so that u can put it on ur page, and then to send to ppl if u need to.

linking up with other young bands in ur area is good, even if they'r playing a different kind of music to u. at least u can find out whats good places to play at and whats not. try havn a look at posters at ur local music shop.

hav a good think about all the different ppl u know and work out if theyr involved in anything that u could get a gig with. contacts are important. wev built up some really good ones.

try getting something into ur local paper, we had a feature done on us in the music section of ours.

u could try doing talent shows, but from what iv heard, theyr usually a waste of time.

good luck! :)
