I would have to say that recording farts is not a normal practice for most people.
The question that could be raised would be - why do some find satisfaction from recording their farts on audio, and playing them back later?
There is often an underlying reason for such practices - often more than the "I just like to listen to my farts". Typically there may be psychological or emotional issues involved with those that find satisfaction in replaying their farts.
My sister and I did once when we were kids. It was a blast at the time.

Not to kinda change the direction of your question, but yesterday I was watching Bad Girls on MTV. One of the girls actually went out on the street and was asking men if she could fart in their mouths. She would pull up her skirt and the guys would be mouth wide open about 3 inches from her *** and she would let her rip.
no but my friend farted into a phone on a prank call, and it was really gross, but funny too. she's weird.
Lol. That made me laugh. But uhm that would be a no. Although me and my friends do have tendencies to record and playback fake farts. :p
