Yes. Limewire is just a file sharing program. Any files you share that are copywritten--music, programs, movies, etc.--are illegal. Basically, if it's copywritten and you didn't pay to download it, you've stolen it. And people DO go to jail for that. It's not "only a breach of copyright", it's theft.
It probably depends on what you download through limewire. If you download illegal materials through limewire pro, then its still illegal.
If you registered a gun, then its legal to have one. But if you use a legal gun for a crime, then you still commited a crime.
Probably-it is still file sharing. You are better off using Frostwire-same thing without the viruses of Limewire. There is really no use to buying them.
Yes. But there is one school of thought that suggests you are only doing a public service by keeping music industry scumbags honest. It is the availability of an alternate source of supply, albeit illegal, that stops them jacking up the prices of a cd. They were really arrogant about it until file sharing came along.
They use alarmist terms such as "piracy" and "stealing" for what is in effect, only a breach of copyright.
