I returned a movie to Hollywood Video but they say I didn't, and are chargin!

Question: I got a letter from a credit agency saying I owed $50 for a movie I FOR SURE returned. What can I do? I don't feel like I owe them anything, but I don't want a credit mark. Thanks for any help.

Cheers!

hrmm. This has happened to me before but they never charged me.If they did I would have made a huge fuss. You're just going to have to talk to the manager. Perhaps if they have cameras, you could tell them at what day and time you dropped it off and they could maybe check to see if they see you on the tapes. Make sure that they look everywhere and that they didn't misplace it. No way should you have to pay for their mistakes.

is there anyway u can prove that u returned it? possibly a reciept of some kind, that should be enough.

show a reciept or talk to the manager and tell them you turned it in
