i assume you mean like at a movie or a play? i don't recall leaving an article of clothing, but i might have. where i live, it is seldom very cold, so although i might wear a jacket, i usually don't wear gloves, a scarf or earmuffs. so, i usually do not have much to leave. i've never left my purse either.
