Rehab's not an outright TERRIBLE song, but it's by no means the best of the year. This was the first time I've ever seen AW perform and I had to wonder what all the hype was about?! I read someone else this morning saying that she looked like she had to pee... I was as stunned after her performance as she looked during it. I knew she was a trainwreck, but wow!
My first impression is that she's creepy, and pretty seriously overrated. Is one moderately decent song enough to garner all this attention and all these awards?
Contrary to what some people seem to believe being deserving of awards ISN'T just all about talent (which I personally don't think she has much of.) It's about image, performance, professionalism, responsibility, having a little class AND having a good voice. (Or at least it should be about all that!!)
To those that say this will help her: How will it help her exactly? She won all these awards IN that condition - it'll just serve to reinforce all the cr*p she's doing in her life. Do the people who hand out the awards think they can help straighten her out by 'rewarding' her bad behaviour and putting some trophies on her mantle? Will it show her the world cares about her and her unfortuante plight???
I didn't catch the whole thing (I was at a choir practice prepping for a gig Thursday night and to sing 7 pieces in our music festival) but where album of the year is concerned I'm pretty disappointed in the outcome of this year's Grammy's. Beyonce... JT... even Rihanna... and AMY wins album of the year??? What the heck!?! (I gotta add, I'm not an huge fan, but Beyonce looked fantastic!)

(And great that her Mum was there and all, but I weep for her - not just because her daughter's a mess, but did no one else notice how enormous the kid's head was compared to mom's??? Whoooa...)

Kind of boring. Too much gospel type stuff and rap crap. Beyonce should have had plumper dancers with her, her booty look real big dancing next to those sticks. The way the built up Amy was ridiculous, don't get me wrong, she's a great talent and all but they made her sound like the best thing since the wheel. One thing I did love was when Vince Gill got his award and said "I just got given an award by a Beatle. Has that happened to you yet, Kanye?". Put him right in his place. LOL
I agree! Plus on another question, I was the only one who predicted, correctly, that Amy would get a bunch. CBS tends to do poor jobs on award shows.
