I need help coming up with a creative murder mystery short story? Any ideas?!
Question: I have to create a short story murder mystery!
I need 5 characters, the murderer, the detective, the person murdered, and 2 other characters who are suspects.
It needs to be creative I can't think of anything!

a wedding murder , a wealthy family whom son had to get married because his wife got pregnant in the trust fund the first gandchild that was produced would get most of the trust fund . the family certainly doesnt get along with the pregnant wife to be ..on the night of the wedding the husband is found dead . the husband had been drinking all day and had not planned to go thru with the weeding plans and spoken with his sister and brother acknowledging that the child was not his , after his greed took over he would continue to mary his cheating wife to be to claim the money .after his death she was considered the prime supect from both siblings because he decided not to marry here after all.. this an idea i certainly didnt write it well. but the sister is the killer ths can be an accident or a poisoned drink that was meant for her .or even herself. but i do beleive their is a great plot here is a open mind . i beleive i wouod have more characters like a drunken preganant wife to be and explain her parents to be hillbilly poor disfunctional family. you could get rid of the brother and add a phototopher that is the dad of the baby to be ohh thats good .he could even take the blame because he actually thinks she did it. ohhhh thats pretty good idea.but utimately the sister killed her brother i beleive i would make it a drink though that was meant for the wife to be
