How come the "1970's" and the "1980's" music was soo!

Question: I mean, nowdays music doesn't have rythme, beat, or talent like the 1970's and the 1980's music did. Why is this?

i dont have an answer but i completely agree with you.
songs had harmony and soul and meaning. now its just screaming and jumping around and sometimes it sounds like a different language, i cant understand what they are saying..

My parents used to say the same thing about my Dead, Airplane, and Hendrix albums in the 60's. Take some time to listen to what your kids (or grandkids) are listening to. There's still good music out there. You're either not going to the right places or not giving it a chance.

I came up in the 1970's as a teenager and I was listening to bands like Queen, Pink Floyd, Foghat ,Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Yes, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Kansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Montrose, The Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Emerson,Lake and Palmer, Nazereth
You know the "Classic Rock'' And then when the 80"s rolled around I was listening to the Car, The B-52s The Police (Sting knows how to rock)

Well that is an opinion but I kind of agree. The music is gone. Though I was born in the 90's I listen to stuff back then. I notice a big difference in lyrics from lyrics I can't even understand to stuff I feel.

Talent just disappeared but still it's not totally gone.
