Other than NPR, what can I listen to at work that's available free online ot!
Question: I love listening to people talk on the radio...and I really like NPR, but I wanted to try something different... but it has to be available online for free... My workplace doesn't allow some (most?) radio stations to be played... I've tried... but NPR works...
Any suggestions?

I listen to NPR, but my favorite radio program (and what I consider to be the most important news broadcast period) is Democracy Now. You won't be able to listen to the live broadcast over the internet, but you can listen to the entire show via an mp3 stream by going to www.democracynow.org and follow the links at the top of their home page to "listen or watch the entire show".
To pre-warn you though, Democracy Now is not a warm-fuzzy, feel-good program that contains things like story core, all things considered, marketplace, etc. It contains the truth about the world's injustice, interesting interviews, and real news that is typically censored and ignored by corporate media (including NPR). You'll be amazed at the news you've been missing!
