There is really no where you can download a song for free without it being illegal,
You don't have to have an iPod to download songs from iTunes, you just have to buy an iTunes card then redeem it, than download The Songs.
I have them, I didn't buy them from iTunes, I bought the cd, and ripped in into iTunes.
