I'm going to a concert and I don't know what to expect?!

Question: I'm going to a Marilyn Manson concert tomorrow with my brother (9 years older than me). It's on a school night at 8pm. It'll be my first concert without my parents (cute, I know..). I don't really know what to expect because I've never been to a real concert and I especially don't know what to think since it's MM. How should I act? Is it gonna be scary? These questions probably sound so weird but I'd like to go as prepared as I can since I'm rather nervous.

Any tales of experience would be appreciated. Especially if you've been to MM concerts.

just have fun!!!
live in the moment!!!

u just are going to a musical event .... which is a very selective one, because not everybody likes MM... so u will see alot of ppl dressed in black... doing maybe weird things.... singing... and bla bla.. nothing to be scare off... the world of full of diversity.

You will have a great time...just expect it to be LOUD

It scares me just to look at him.

expect people to look like if they were possesed by the devil, drunks, pot heads, really loud music, moshpits, jesus bashing.

Expect to get shoved by the people who don't watch where they're going.

You will hear music

wear black...blend in if you don't want to be noticed

Just stay close to your bro and make sure he keeps an eye on you! Def. avoid mosh pits and stuff like that if you're small!

To escape bodily injury, avoid the mosh pit at all cost.

You should dress Goth/emo and expect to see lots of gays, probably some pot, lots of cussing, there will be a "pit" in front of the stage, where there will be moshing, and probably some fist fights. Not sure how old you are, but your parents are crazy to let you go on a school night. Oh yea, you might want to bring ear plugs if you're not used to loud music. It will probably be louder than anything you've ever heard, depending on how close you get to the speakers. There will be lots of pushing and shoving, and if you are small and don't like tight places or sweaty nasty boys rubbing against you, stay away from the stage. Good luck and be careful.

Wear Earplugs

If your brother is with you,you should be fine. The last concert I was at was the white zombies...it rocked!! you have nothing to be worried about.

remember to head bang! :)

You should relax. I'm fourteen and went to my first real concert last year. The concert was in a big parking lot. It's called Warp Tour, maybe you've heard of it? Any way my older sister had gone to the concert before and had told me about the mash pits and the crowd surfing. She had also gotten a huge cut across her back from a CD that was thrown at her. She had convinced me to go with her and the night before I was freaking out! Then when I got there we had to go threw about 12 lines of security. They also stamped you and if you left you couldn't come back in. It was a really hot day so they had this huge water truck that yu could run under and get wet. They also had security guards and police everywhere! There were first aid tables at ever other fence too! I was so panicked oer something that was so safe! Besides that the music was great! Some tips? 1. Check out the web site. See what there all about. 2. Go on you-tube and watch some videos of previous concerts.3. Check if it's inside or outside. If it's outside make sure to go to map quest and print out a map of the stadium. Circle important things in diffrent colors like the bathroom and security stand. If it's inside, make sure to check if it's standing or if there's chairs. If theirs chairs you'll probely be fine. It's kinda hard to start a mash pit over chairs. : ) 4. Also if it's inside, make sure you find a way to get some freash air, like opening a bathroom window. Inside concerts can get very "high" if you know what I mean. 5. Make sure to find a meeting spot with your brother, if you two get lost. He'll probely think it's stupid. Ask one of your parents to keep reminding you guys about it. Then when you tell him where you'll meet. You can say it's just because mom keeps asking me where it is. 6. Bring about $40 in cash. Don't have two twenties. You should probely bring one ten, three fives, and then the rest ones. This way, if you want suveneirs you could bring them, and if some people come up to you and ask you to buy CD's, (which are usually fake) you can pull out your wallet and search threw a couple of ones and say "I only have $10 and I need it for the bus ride home. Sorry but good luck!" 7.This really won't help for you seeing that the concert's tommorow, but next time, make sure to start off easier. 8. Enjoy the concert! That's what the concerts all about! :) Hope you have fun!
